Jamie O’Neal is set to release her sixth studio album, Gypsum, on January 23, 2026, and the 4X GRAMMY-nominated star will celebrate with an album release party and performance at Nashville’s Neon Steeple in Chief’s on Broadway January 21. Reserved seats for the 7:30 p.m. concert begin at $30 and can be purchased HERE. Jamie produced Gypsum with Rodney Good, who also recorded and mixed all 10 songs, and it will be available via BFD/Audium Nashville.

“My new album Gypsum is named for the sand dunes in White Sands National Park, one of the most beautiful and serene, other worldly places I’ve ever been to,” said Jamie, who rocketed into the country music mainstream with her #1 singles “There Is No Arizona” and “When I think About Angels” leading a string of hit songs. “I have an affinity for the west – the mountains, red rocks, sand dunes, and wide open spaces inspired a lot of this album. I loved being in the studio and hearing some of the most incredible musicians bring the songs to life, it’s so exciting to have a new original album finished and ready for everyone to hear!”

The 10-song collection includes six songs co-written by Jamie along with Stephanie Bentley, Rob Crosby, Roxie Dean, Lisa Drew, Ed Hill, Bailey Hefley, Tammy Hyler, Robin Lee, Shaye Smith, Ava Suppelsa, and Ilya Toshinsky. Country Music Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member Dean Dillon contributes one song with Scotty Emerick, Bob Regan and Kevin Doherty wrote one, and Josia Eden penned the final song. One of the most special songs on the new album was written by Jamie’s late sister Samantha Murphy.

The latest release from the new album is “Just Whiskey,” a hard-hitting tune written by Jamie with Stephanie Bentley and Rob Crosby that will be available tomorrow, January 9, 2026. “’Just Whiskey’ sounds like I’m singing to a nemesis, as if it’s a mistress seducing my man, but it’s really about fighting the monster that is alcoholism,” said Jamie. “I love the powerful nature of this song!”

The first single from Gypsum was the beautiful and touching “Ole Heartache.” Written by Jamie with Shaye Smith and Ed Hill, award-winning multimedia music journalist Robert K. Oermann included the song in his Music Row Magazine “Nashville’s Top Tunes Of 2025 In DISClaimer,” writing: “Languidly paced, to underscore the lonesome blues in the soaring tune. Deep twang guitar and aching harmonica work back her terrific vocal performance. Country music eloquence.”
