Grace Tyler
The Texas Heart Behind Country's Newest Breakout Voice
Among the lively CMA Fest crowd in Nashville’ Music City Center this past June, was rising country singer-songwriter Grace Tyler. Friendly, grounded, and full of talent, Grace spoke with us about her breakout year: from her debut EP and red carpet moments to touring with one of her longtime heroes.
At just 24, the Frisco, Texas native is quickly carving her lane in country music. Her name has become one to watch, not just for her unforgettable vocals and powerful storytelling, but for the sincerity that radiates from every word she writes.
“Everything I Didn’t Say,” Tyler’s debut EP released in March, marks the first major step in that journey. The six-song “passion project,” as she calls it, is deeply personal, walking listeners through the stages of heartbreak with the honesty of someone who lived every line. “It’s been so cool to see people connect to the songs,” she shares. “I’m so proud of it.”
One track in particular, “Heart You Broke,” hit close to home, not just for fans, but for the muse, her ex. Grace chuckled explaining an upset text she received from him following the EP, inspiring the single. She even let fans in on an easter egg, revealing that his text is in the back of the song’s cover art. It’s that unfiltered authenticity that makes Tyler’s music stand out.
Her vulnerability hasn’t gone unnoticed. The project caught the attention of publisher Courtney Allen, who signed Grace to Concord Music after hearing the EP. “I’m so thankful for Courtney,” Grace beamed, “She believed in me instantly.” She expressed the sheer honor and appreciation she has to be a part of the Concord team.
Adding to her momentum is her growing relationship with one of her longtime heroes, superstar Lee Brice. Tyler still sounds, understandably, slightly in awe as she talks about him. “Lee has been one of my favorite artists forever,” she says. “He’s producing my music, mentoring me, and he’s taken me out on the road. I’ll be touring with him at the end of the year, which still feels surreal.”
That mentorship has clearly paid off. Grace’s voice, both literal and lyrical, blends traditional country roots with a modern edge. Her influences range from George Strait to today’s female powerhouses like Lainey Wilson, Ella Langley,
and Megan Moroney. “It’s a big time for women in country music” she says, emphasizing her excitement to be a part of it all.
Grace is stepping confidently into a new chapter of her music with her latest single, “Call Me,” a vibrant, feel-good track that showcases her playful and empowered side. The song continues the upbeat momentum she first introduced with “My Type,” released on June 27th, which marked a clear shift from the emotionally heavy tone of her earlier EP. “It’s a summer song,” Grace shared when discussing My Type, describing her desire to move away from “sad girl songs” toward a brighter, more positive sound. With “Call Me,” she builds on that vision — blending catchy hooks, radiant energy, and authentic emotion as she fully embraces this fresh new era in her artistry.
Grace’s career is already filled with full-circle moments, like walking the red carpet at this year’s ACM Awards in her hometown of Frisco, Texas, held in the same room where she attended her high school prom. The experience marked a surreal milestone for the artist, symbolizing just how far she’s come since those early days. Though Grace still remains grounded and grateful. Her advice to other young dreamers is simple but powerful: “You just gotta start. Don’t let other people’s opinions get in the way of your passion.”
Grace Tyler’s story is just beginning, and if her blend of authenticity, and heart is any indication, we’ll only be hearing more of her. Whether she’s breaking hearts or healing them, one thing’s for sure: country music has found a new great storyteller.
